ABOUT US

The Arena Theatre is one of the West Midlands’ longest established and most successful small-scale touring venues.

Thanks to a £2 million Lottery grant and partnership funding from the University of Wolverhampton, our visitors can now enjoy a superbly compact, reasonably priced, state-of-the-art complex. Bright and bold in design, it embraces excellent front of house facilities and two exceptionally relaxing theatres with flexible performing spaces.

The Arena Theatre seats 150 and is brilliantly deceptive – seductively drawing its audiences into a more intimate understanding of the play, surprisingly spacious for dance or ballet, funky and unpretentious for hot music.

Quality programming has always been of paramount importance to the Arena administration and outstanding professional companies, celebrating drama, dance and music, will continue to dominate throughout any given season. The Arena also showcases work by local schools, colleges, students, amateur companies and community events.
