Surdwani 25th Anniversary Celebration

Saturday 31st March at 7.00pm

The first of a series of events celebrating 25 years of Surdwani

Over the past 25 years Surdhwani has presented the best of classical music & dance deriving from the Indian sub-continent as well as promoted and sponsored many of today’s prominent artists from India.

Rekesh Chauhan on Piano is a captivating performer who has played in many prestigious venues.

His playing, which combines both western and Indian styles, reverberates amongst the new generation of listeners of contemporary world music.

Chris Aldridge (Beebe) is regarded as one of the UK and Europe's finest saxophonists.  He possesses a wide ranging technique from beat boxing whilst playing the flute, to playing two saxophones at the same time.

Rishi's dedication and passion for Tabla has led him to be a disciple of Ut Zakir Hussain and Pt Anindo Chatterjee.  He is also mentored by Sitar maestro Ut Dharambir Singh MBE and has performed nationally and overseas.

Carl Peberdy is an excellent sitar player and has been associated with Surdhwani for over ten years teaching the art of sitar playing.  He has given many performances nationally and abroad and is a joy to listen to.
